What do you mean by "migration"?

If you are moving from Notes 8.0.2 to 8.5.3 you are doing an upgrade, not a migration. This is true even if you are moving from one server to another at the same time.

According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Data_migration :
"Data migration is the process of transferring data between storage types, formats, or computer systems."

If you just want to upgrade to 8.5.3, and in the process move to a new server, it is very easy. The only tool you need is the copy command in your operating system...

I assume that you want to keep your existing server name even after moving to the new server.
Install Domino on the new server, using a temporary server name. Shut down the new server when everything is done.
Then shut down the old server as well, and copy the ID files and mail files over to the new server.
Edit notes.ini on the new server and change the server name and ID file names in there. If you have made any changes to notes.ini on the old server, duplicate those changes (you should have them documented).
Now you can start up the new server, and you have a brand new server with teh same name as the old one.
